Gavi: Manchester United target FC Barcelona midfielder – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United are reportedly interested in FC Barcelona midfielder Gavi.

According to 90min, Los Diablos Rojos have held meetings to be aware of the midfielder’s situation.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also interested in signing the Spaniard.

The report, however, states that Gavi prefers to stay in Barcelona.

The Catalan club hopes to keep its star, who is emerging as the future star.

Xavi sees the 18-year-old as one of his center pieces around whom he can build his team.

“Gavi had agreed to sign a new deal earlier this year, with interested clubs saying he would stay at the Catalan giants and was not looking to move.”

“Barça’s plan was for the teenager to sign his new long-term contract when he turned 18 on August 5.”

“However, that was not possible due to the club’s financial problems, which made them struggle to register new signings.”

Now that the transfer window has closed, Barcelona are now looking to finalize Gavi’s extension with his current contract expiring next year.

Gavi has world-class ability and is already one of the best midfielders in the world.

It’s scary how good this player can be if he develops well.

At United he would fit perfectly into Erik ten Hag’s system.

While it seems like a tough deal to pull off, it can’t be ruled out that United will pull off something sensational.
