Gary Neville unnerved by what Henderson & Trent have been doing with Jude Bellingham: ‘You cheeky little…’

Gary Neville admitted that he was more than a little taken aback by the budding relationship between Jude Bellingham and two of his fellow England internationals (and, critically, Liverpool stars) Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The pair have regularly been spotted in the company of the 19-year-old wunderkind during the Three Lions’ time in Doha amid continued interest from Merseysiders.

“The whole thing makes me nervous. Foden next to Bellingham, you see him taking a walk with Alexander-Arnold. You see Henderson cuddling with him,” the Monday Night Football co-host told Sky Sports (via HITC).

You cheeky little bastards think you know what you’re trying to do.

“The reality is that I am more likely to go to Liverpool than to Manchester City, because where they are, what they are doing. You can’t rule out Europe or Manchester United.”

The Reds captain added fuel to the fire with his laughing response to a reporter’s question about the possibility of the Borussia Dortmund talent joining him at Anfield.

It’s hard to imagine the topic of Liverpool not coming up at all, although it’s worth emphasizing that time spent alone with any of our representatives will absolutely not guarantee that Merseyside will be Bellingham’s ultimate destination.

Factors such as the competitive level of the potential team, the training facilities on offer and, one might imagine, the coach at the helm will all play a part in that regard.

We certainly shouldn’t write ourselves off despite the financial disparity between the club and Manchester City and we’ll be eagerly awaiting further updates on the situation as the months go by.
