Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has revealed why he hasn’t used Hugo Ekitike much this season.

Speaking to the media, he said (via HITC): “Hugo is a player with incredible potential. He is discovering the highest level. The young man needs a few sessions to find the right level and create a connection with the attack unit.

He is making tremendous progress and is very good at training. The young man is dying to get going. The good times will come very quickly, and he will have a lot more playing time very soon.”

PSG already have a plethora of quality attacking options in their squad. Ekitike is currently behind Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in the club’s pecking order. The youngster will need something extraordinary to establish his place in the first XI of the Parisians.

However, PSG already have two quality left-backs in their squad, Juan Bernat and Nuno Mendes. They are likely to stop pursuing a deal for Mendy if the Spanish club refuse to change their stance on him.
