Galatasaray are reportedly planning a summer move for Bobby Firmino, who will leave Liverpool as a free agent in the coming months.

The Reds attacker is already in the crosshairs of a club that intends to sign him as a free agent.

Turkish outlet Fanatik reported [via Turkish-Football.com]:: “Galatasaray continues with its work at full speed ahead of the season finale. The Yellow Reds came into action, which caught the eye of the 31-year-old Brazilian, whose contract with Liverpool is due to expire at the end of the season.

Looking back on what Firmino has offered Liverpool since arriving at Anfield in 2015, it’s no surprise that he reportedly already has suitors lining up to take advantage of his soon-to-be free agent status.

The 31-year-old has scored 107 times for the Reds, forming part of one of the most heralded attacking trios in world football alongside Mo Salah and Sadio Mane during the peak trophy years of the Klopp era.

The Brazilian has also been widely praised for what he brings to the team in terms of his work out of possession, with Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp calling him the “perfect team player” last year.

Jamie Carragher added: “What he’s done, the miles he’s run, the work he’s put in, you see the quality he has but it’s what he brings to this team…it’s fantastic.” [via Daily Mail]

Given the myriad of attacking options at Liverpool’s disposal and the amount of time Firmino has spent at Anfield, it’s understandable why he might feel this is an opportune time for a fresh challenge elsewhere.

It is a testament to the qualities he has displayed on Merseyside that Galatasaray are already setting the wheels in motion regarding a potential move for the 31-year-old.
