Gabriel Martinelli Confirms Arsenal Contract Talks

Gabriel Martinelli has revealed that he wants to stay at Arsenal and confirmed that he is in talks with the Gunners about a new contract.

Martinelli’s current contract with Arsenal expires in 2024. That means he has less than two years left on his contract with the Premier League side. But there is also the option to extend it for another 12 months.

For his part, Martinelli has had a great start to the 22/23 season, as has Arsenal. The north London side top the Premier League table with 24 points from their first nine games in the league.

Arsenal have secured eight wins from nine games. The only match in which they dropped points was against fierce rivals Man Utd, who inflicted a 3-1 loss.

Gabriel Martinelli has confirmed that he wants to stay at Arsenal and is in talks about a new contract.

Speaking after Arsenal secured a 3-2 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League, Martinelli confirmed that he is in talks with the Gunners about a new contract.

“Of course I want to stay. We are talking. We are going to see what is going to happen,” Martinelli told The Athletic when asked if he wanted to stay at Arsenal. “But I want to stay, of course.”

Martinelli was one of the hosts’ standout players as they beat Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium. Martinelli scored the first goal of the game as they broke the tie in the first minute of the game.

He also became the provider of Arsenal’s second goal when Bukayo Saka duly converted from close range to put the Gunners 2–1 up.

After Firmino made it 2-2, it was Saka who scored Arsenal’s winning goal, converting a penalty that returned them to the top of the Premier League table.

Meanwhile, Martinelli has been playing for Arsenal since they signed him in 2019. Since then, he has made 95 appearances and scored 22 goals for the English team.

Martinelli has been present in all the games that Arsenal has played so far in the 22/23 campaign. He has also racked up four goals and two assists in the 11 appearances he has made so far for the club this season.

He has become a regular starter for Arsenal this season and manager Arteta is reportedly keen to give the young attacker a new contract at the club.
