Jurgen Klopp knows better than anyone just how good his players are and now that Virgil van Dijk has secured a place in FIFA FIFPro Men’s World 11, there was no stopping him from praising the defender.
Speaking to the media before the game with Wolves, the manager said: “I don’t think he came to this team just because of his last four or five appearances, it was because of [the] last year and I think it’s totally and absolutely deserved.”

Some might see it as a backhanded compliment, but it’s clear the 55-year-old was referring to the fact that our number 4 has been injured lately and not that he’s been in terrible shape.
After his long knee problem, for the Dutchman to bounce back with a world 11 place shows just how special he is.
