Frenkie de Jong talks about exit rumours

Barcelona News: Frenkie de Jong is one of the most talented midfielders in the Spanish League.

De Jong joined the Blaugrana for €75m from Ajax in the 2019 summer transfer window. So far, he has made 104 league appearances for the Spanish giants, registering nine goals and nine assists.

Blaugrana midfielder Frenkie de Jong has revealed that he always wanted to stay at the Camp Nou despite rumors of leaving during the summer.

Speaking to the media, he said (via Fabrizio Romano): “It was clear to me, I wanted to stay in Barcelona. There is no problem, between my colleagues and I nothing has changed.

Barcelona were open to selling the Dutch international last summer due to financial difficulties. Manchester United and Chelsea were among the clubs interested in signing him.
