French journalist reveals Marseille’s stance on signing Manchester United’s Eric Bailly – Man United News And Transfer News

The French giants from Marseille may not have much of a choice as to whether or not they want to sign Manchester United transferee Eric Bailly.

The Ivorian has been so good for the team that club bosses may be ready to give him a permanent chance despite his extensive injury history.

Le Phocéen journalist Romain Haering reports via SportWitness: “If you really want your team to progress, it’s players like him you need. Bailly is still very good.”

“For Marseille, a guy like Bailly 100%, you won’t have another, so we don’t have many options.

“If we want a player of his level, we have to take that risk.”

Marseille have been using Bailly sparingly in an effort to get him in the best possible shape for when the Ligue 1 season resumes.

Haering adds that Bailly’s temporary bosses have not been using him as intensively as the rest of his teammates during club friendlies.

The Marseille coaching staff, according to Haering, wants the 28-year-old back little by little and is in no hurry to throw him to the bottom.

So determined are they to get Bailly back in top form that they are willing to wait until mid-January to get him back in action.

The main objective of the Marseille squad is that the defender does not get injured during the second half of the season.

They want to keep United on loan for the most important and decisive games of the club’s campaign.

The extraordinary effort that the French club is going to make to ensure Bailly’s availability is indicative that it wants his loan to be permanent, as indicated by Haering in his report.
