Manchester United returned to winning ways by beating Tottenham 2-0 at Old Trafford.
In what was a thorough, masterful and complete performance, the team secured all three points thanks to second-half goals from Fred and Bruno Fernandes.
United dominated against Antonio Conte’s side who were enjoying their best start to a season in the club’s history.
The Red Devils had 52% of the possession against Tottenham’s 48%.
United managed a whopping 28 attempts on goal, with nine on target compared to the Lilywhites’ nine attempts on goal, with just two on target and worrying David de Gea.
There wasn’t much separating the two teams in terms of passes made.
The Reds attempted 577 passes with 85% passing accuracy. Tottenham registered 522 passes with a success rate of 84%.
United had a number of players who stood out to be counted, Fred being one of them. The Brazilian recovered well after a poor performance against Newcastle on Sunday.
Fred had 76 touches on the ball in what was an excellent performance from him.
The 29-year-old made a whopping 23 passes into the final third, in his preferred position where he plays further forward than a deeper midfielder.
Fred won four duels on the ground and made three key passes.
The player completed three long balls and made two crucial interceptions.

He ended a brilliant night with a much-needed tie-breaking goal against a resilient Tottenham side that made it difficult to break.
Fred has certainly given Ten Hag something to think about in regards to who will pair Casemiro against Chelsea at the weekend.
