The 2022 edition of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature a float from FOX Sports.
US Soccer float in Macy’s Parade
The FOX float will promote the US Men’s National Team (USMNT) at the 2022 World Cup, which airs exclusively in English on the sports network. Approximately 20 million viewers watch the parade on television. Subsequently, FOX Sports hopes the float can help promote their coverage of the tournament. But also the Black Friday World Cup match between the United States and England. FOX Sports executives are confident the game will become one of the most-watched soccer games in US history.
Speaking with Sports Video Group, here’s what FOX Sports Executive Producer David Neal had to say:
“We are pulling out all the stops.
“Our brilliant [FOX Sports] The marketing team led by Robert Gottlieb raised the money and bought a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. So there will be a US Soccer float going by.”
The timing of the FOX float to promote Team USA may turn out to be ideal. Looking at the World Cup schedule, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade comes after the USA’s Nov. 21 match against Wales and the Nov. 25 match against England.
