USA and England could be among the 5 biggest games

A FOX Sports executive predicts that USA vs. England may rank as one of the top five most-watched soccer games in American television history.

The Black Friday World Cup match airs live on FOX at 2 pm ET. The game on Friday, November 25, is the day after Thanksgiving, when most Americans don’t work.

Why the US and England could be ranked in the top 5 games

Speaking with Sports Video Group, here’s what FOX Sports Executive Producer David Neal had to say:

“If the United States wins their first pool game, which they should. It is against Wales.

“If the US gets to 1-0, and assuming England does too, it has the potential to be one of the 5 most-watched soccer games in US television history, and that’s just a group stage game.

Team USA takes on Wales on Monday, November 21. So that England-USA If the US breaks into the top five of the most-watched games, FOX Sports will have to attract a lot of casual viewers. Therefore, it is imperative that the United States get a win against Wales to build momentum heading into the match against England.

Among soccer fans, the challenge that FOX Sports has is that Team USA morale is pretty low with coach Gregg Berhalter disappointing a lot of USA fans.
