Four Liverpool Players Ruled Out of Crystal Palace Match

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out four players for their Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Liverpool return to action after the international break in September by hosting Brighton at Anfield for their seventh Premier League game of the season.

The Reds have made a mixed start to the 22/23 season and languish in eighth place in the Premier League points table. The Merseyside side have picked up nine points from their first six games.

They have only won two games in the English top flight this season. They also shared points in three matches and succumbed to defeat in one.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League match against Brighton, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that four players will not be available for selection against the Seagulls.

Klopp named Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as the players who will definitely miss the game against Brighton.

“Some are still out, that’s Andy Robertson, that’s Curtis Jones, that’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, that’s Naby Keita. definitely these four [are out]Klopp said.

Klopp also addressed concerns about the fitness of Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez. Both players represented their respective countries during the international break in September.

“Díaz and Jota? Yeah, they’re back from international duty and it’s business as usual [after] a long flight, I haven’t seen them yet, I’ve heard they’re good,” Klopp said.

And he added: “Darwin, [missing training] it was a precaution after the games, the same for Diogo, I think that’s all.

Meanwhile, Liverpool go into the game against Brighton having won their previous game. The Reds met Ajax in the Champions League before the international break and secured a 2-1 win.

Against Ajax, Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool a one-goal lead in the 17th minute before Mohammed Kudus restored equality in the 27th minute. However, Joel Matip sealed a late victory for the Premier League by scoring the goal of the victory in the 89th minute.

Liverpool had previously lost their first game of the 22/23 Champions League campaign. He faced Napoli and suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the Italian team. Napoli posted a 4-1 win over the Reds in that match.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be hoping to win all three points against Crystal Palace as they look to cover lost ground in the Premier League title race.
