Four Juventus players named as flops in Serie Round 20 worst formation

In back-to-back upsets, Milan and Juventus were embarrassed on their home turf on Sunday.

The reigning champions suffered another humiliating defeat, as Sassuolo emerged victorious in a 5-2 result at the San Siro. A few hours later, Monza completed the double over the repentant Bianconeri at the Allianz Stadium.

As expected, Milan and Juventus dominated the worst formation in Serie A Matchday 20, according to what was published by Calciomercato.

While the Rossoneri have the biggest hosts (six!), Max Allegri’s side contributed four of their own.

Moise Kean unceremoniously heads the lineup as he struggled for control of the ball against Armando Izzo and company.

Furthermore, Filip Kostic has been a mere shadow of himself since the January reset. He was pulled at halftime after a miserable first period.

Leandro Paredes got a rare nod over Manuel Locatelli, but his display was simply listless, further justifying his bench-warming status.

Finally, Federico Gatti gets the mention at the back, although the Italian could argue that Gleison Bremer could have produced an even worse display.

Roma veteran Chris Smalling is the only player to have broken the shocking Milan-Juventus duopoly.

Series A Day 20 Failures (3-4-3): Tatarusanu (Milan); Gatti (Juventus), Gabbia (Milan), Smalling (Rome); Calabria (Milan), Tonali (Milan), Paredes (Juventus), Hernández (Milan); Di Ketelaere (Milan), Kean (Juventus), Kostic (Juventus)
