Max Allegri is under pressure to deliver at Juventus, and the club have been urged to fire him.
The Bianconeri brought him back last season and hoped to return to the top of Italian football.
However, he finished the 2021/2022 season without winning a single trophy.
The club responded to that by signing some good players, however this season also seems to end without trophies.
The Bianconeri have lost their first two Champions League games, and have only two league wins so far.
Their next game before the international break would be against Monza, and it could be Allegri’s last game in charge if they lose.
Who will replace him on the bench in that case? Former AS Roma player Roberto Pruzzo believes that Paolo Montero, who manages the U19 team, will receive the job.
He says, quoted by Tuttojuve:
“If the problem is technical, I don’t think it’s a hiring issue. If he is really a coach, a club like Juventus takes Mr. Allegri and sends him home. It was necessary to sign a one-year contract, two years at the most and then evaluate the results, if the problem is that the coach cannot be fired by contract and commitment, the situation is really serious. Montero is ready there.”
Juve FC says
Sacking Allegri would not be easy, but he is the best man for the players to play well and win games.
If he can’t pull it off, Juve will have to sack him, but Montero doesn’t have enough experience for the job.
