Floyd Mayweather “punch didn’t land” amidst “scripted” accusation

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is facing a shocking accusation of inflating his purse and writing his Japan exhibit at RIZIN 38.

The promoter knocked out the unlucky Mikuru Asakura in two rounds last Saturday night. Mayweather didn’t break a sweat when he took out the kickboxer in Saitama.

However, videos are circulating on social networks claiming that the final blow never came. Retired UFC star Chael Sonnen has also stated his belief that the former pound-for-pound king scripted the entire fight.

Sonnen says Mayweather didn’t come close to the fee “Money” declared for the win while venting on his YouTube channel.

How much money did Floyd Mayweather make?

Days earlier, Mayweather had told The Daily Mail exactly how much money he would make.

“Only from this exhibition, I will earn more than $15-20 million. That’s just from this exhibit.

“So, it’s great. Nine minutes, twenty million, not bad.

He added: “The exhibitions are also giving me the opportunity to travel more. I have always traveled a lot, but I am able to entertain people from all over the world.”

In reaction to Mayweather’s claims, Sonnen revealed that he was way south of that marker. He also said that he knew firsthand what Mayweather’s real purse was.

“Floyd claims he will get $20 million for this. I call it ‘rassling’ [WWE] because they are not really [fighting]. But whatever they’re getting ready to do in Japan, whatever looks like boxing, they’re going to get $8 million,” Sonnen said.

“Now, eight is a beautiful number. But she claimed that she was getting twenty. So I feel because I know the real number, I can’t let it go.

“I must come to you guys. I have a journalistic obligation to come and inform you that it is actually $8 million and you are exaggerating.”

pay per view script

Of the main event, which Mayweather sold on Pay Per View for $29.99, Sonnen stated: “Is he going to do something, an exhibition? They are calling it something. He is making little ones that are terrible.

“He is getting good exposure making a lot of money. And he is having a great time. All those things annoy me.

“I don’t want him to have a good time. No fighter has fun. No 40-year-old fighter who isn’t doing real fights, just pretending to face terrible competition that he can barely sell.

“I mean, these guys can hardly pretend they’re knocked out. It’s not that good. They don’t have fun and they make millions of dollars.

“Floyd is going to make $8 million not to compete with a guy who, if he competed, he would destroy in 30 seconds.

shorter limit

“Other people who are really up for a fight, they don’t call it a display. Not going out to eight rounds, not shortening the time limits to two a piece instead of three. You can’t do a tenth of that. Why would I make fun of Floyd? Doesn’t it sound like Floyd was the one who discovered it?

“If Floyd can come in and get $8 million for whatever, he doesn’t have to work very hard. He doesn’t have to train anything because the script is on his side, and they’ve already told him who’s coming down and when. Isn’t that something I’d like to emulate?

“This is the second time he has returned [to Japan]. People use Floyd once. They kick their asses. They don’t come back to him. It was a terrible deal.

“These guys are. They paid him $8 million, they gave him a script, they brought him back, they gave him $8 million, they made him read the script.”

Floyd Mayweather vs Deji

Sonnen wasn’t done there. He then weighed in on Floyd’s announced pay-per-view fight in November against YouTuber Deji.

“Floyd is going to go to Dubai. He is going to do something after this. [vs DEji]. She will represent the second time that she does it. She is going to receive millions of dollars.

“I don’t know. I think in Dubai, they’re real competition. They’re just with bums. Those might as well be scripted, like the stuff he’s doing in Japan.

“Actually, I do not know. I don’t have to see one. They are like small private events.”

Having faced Logan Paul, Conor McGregor [sanctioned as professional]Tenshin Nasukawa and Don Moore in his other exhibition contests, Mayweather has a plethora of options open to him going forward.

There are thousands of YouTuber wannabe boxers and TikTok “influencers” waiting for the Las Vegas native to share the ring with them.

Floyd has fresh meat all over the world. Therefore, it is unlikely that he will stop anytime soon.

However, facing any real competition, especially against career rival Manny Pacquiao, has already been ruled out.
