Florentino Perez speaks out on Mbappe amid Liverpool transfer rumours

Florentino Pérez is one of the latest names in football to intervene regarding the future of PSG’s sought-after striker, Kylian Mbappé.

As expected, the Real Madrid boss was shy when talking about the interest of the Frenchman and Real Madrid in quotes broadcast by Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter).

Even though the finances of a potential deal involving the 25-year-old are eye-popping enough without having to pay a transfer fee, Liverpool remain one of the major clubs inclined to throw their hat in the ring.

What do the reports say?

The Telegraph’s Jason Burt recently published an article illustrating Mbappé’s outrageous salary demands.

Supposedly £64.5 million a year AFTER TAX, for those wondering.

To be clear, in case there are any doubts about Empire’s position on the matter, there is no chance of Liverpool committing to chasing the World Cup winner this summer.

He is a truly fabulous footballer and we have no doubt that he will make a splash wherever he ends up beyond the summer of 2024.

But it certainly won’t be at Anfield. I’m sorry!
