Real Madrid are the favorites to sign Mbappé if he decides to leave PSG in January. The Frenchman was close to signing for the white team in the summer transfer market. But the deal fell through in the final stages when the Paris team convinced him to sign a new deal.

Mbappe has been in brilliant form this season, registering eight goals and an assist in 10 Ligue 1 appearances. He has also scored four goals in four UEFA Champions League games.

Pérez was delighted to see Karim Benzema win the Ballon d’Or

The white president reacted to Karim Benzema’s victory in the Ballon d’Or. He said: “Everyone knows that I went to Benzema’s house to bring him to Madrid. I am very happy to see him win the Ballon d’Or. I have been a fan for 13 years.

Benzema joined the La Liga club from Lyon in the summer window of 2009. He has made 421 league appearances for the Whites so far, scoring 223 goals. The France international has twice won the La Liga Player of the Season award and was also included in the La Liga Team of the Season on four separate occasions.
