Fantasy Premier League introduces Second Chance League

Fantasy Premier League is launching its Second Chance League during week 17. Those games, which are on Boxing Day (December 26), mean that any player has a new life in their FPL campaign.

Plus, it’s a fitting addition given the massive mid-season hiatus. The World Cup break took some of the momentum from club football. However, the FPL Second Chance League allows soccer fans to get more involved with the game. Also, you don’t have to be a previous Fantasy Premier League player.

All users, regardless of whether or not they had a team in the first part of the season, will have a brand new league. Players are starting from scratch, just like we did in August at the start of the Premier League season. Then, you select a team given your funding and hope they earn you points through real-life performances.

Those who are committed to their current league, there is no need to worry. Those points are still up for grabs, as are mini-leagues with friends, family, co-workers, or like-minded people. This is just one way to get more involved with the league, while also attracting a number of new players and users.

FPL announces Second Chance League

There are slight differences with the addition of the Second Chance League. There is no cup competition. In addition, of course, the league has a considerably shorter duration, since we have now played 16 games.

Finally, there’s a new prize that doesn’t exist in the main FPL. The scorer with the highest point in a matchday without using a token as the triple captain gets a prize.

However, there is the same goal. At the end of the season, FPL awards prizes to the top five teams, ranging from travel-paid hospitality tickets to gaming consoles.

The Second Chance League launches on Boxing Day, the same day that the FPL general season returns to action.
