Fagioli remained at Juventus thanks to the exits of Zakaria and ArthurJuvefc.com

During the summer transfer market, Juventus made endless changes in the middle of the park. Paul Pogba and Leandro Paredes arrived to reinforce the ranks of Max Allegri, while Aaron Ramsey, Arthur Melo and Denis Zakaria headed for the starting gate.

At one point, it looked like Adrien Rabiot was ready to join Manchester United, but he ultimately stayed at Allianz Stadium. For his part, Nicolò Rovella arrived on loan at Monza despite impressing in some of his brief cameos.

Amid all the turmoil, Nicolò Fagioli’s future remained in doubt until the late hours of deadline day. In the end, the 21-year-old remained as part of Max Allegri’s team.

According to Corriere dello Sport via TuttoJuve, the late departures of Zakaria and Arthur allowed the young Italian to remain at the club.

The Brazilian joined Liverpool on the final day of the summer transfer session, while the Swiss international completed a move to Chelsea just before the deadline.

Today, Fagioli could start the Old Lady’s home game against Salernitana, which would be a chance for him to show that he deserves to stay ahead of Zakaria and Arthur.

While the financial aspect played a big part in the management choices, trusting the club’s youth product is something supporters have been desperate to see for years.
