Fabrizio Romano on Jesper Lindstrom Arsenal transfer

Fabrizio Romano has responded to recent transfer rumors from Arsenal involving a possible move for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jesper Lindstrom.

The highly regarded young Danish international has impressed in the Bundesliga and could be a good signing to give the Gunners more attacking options after the troubles of Nicolás Pepe, who left for Nice on loan in the summer.

Arsenal could do with continuing to go from strength to strength this January after a strong summer, with Mikel Arteta bringing in big names like Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who seem to have made a huge difference for the North London giants to their strong start to the campaign.

Lindstrom looks like another good player who could contribute to Arsenal’s revival, but Romano is currently unaware of the club’s official interest in the Frankfurt ace.

Jesper Lindstrom has been linked with Arsenal

Writing in his exclusive column for CaughtOffside, Romano said: “I am aware there has been speculation that Arsenal are contacting representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt star Jesper Lindstrom, an exciting young attacking talent.

“Still, at the moment, I have no confirmation of any proposal or negotiation for Lindstrom.

“Many clubs, also from Italy, have sent their scouts to monitor him, as he is considered a very good player for the present and the future, but Eintracht has not made any decision about January. It’s still too early to tell.”

It looks like Lindstrom will be a man in demand, so Arsenal may need to move quickly if they want to close a deal for the 22-year-old this January.
