Juventus is currently being investigated for the capital gains case and it is a situation that has given fans and pundits a lot to talk about.
The Bianconeri could be found guilty of falsifying their books if investigators can show they had a separate agreement to pay their players out of their budget.
Reports claim that there is an agreement between the Bianconeri and Cristiano Ronaldo. In it, they agreed to pay him 20 million euros, despite the fact that they had announced that he would lose his earnings.
This could be a major legal hurdle for the club, but Andrea Agnelli calls for calm and insists they have done nothing wrong.
Journalist Fabio Ravezzani has now added his voice to the debate and says he is taken aback by the Bianconeri’s actions.
He tweeted:
“There is one thing I really can’t understand. What need did Juve have to make that claim about the 90 million salaries saved when it immediately became clear that something was wrong? The wording itself was convoluted. And no other club had come this far.”
Juve FC says
Juve’s guilt hasn’t been proven yet, so it doesn’t make sense for people to judge their actions, but we can’t stop people from speaking out about it.
One thing for sure is that we are confident our executives have done the right thing and we will bounce back from this setback.
