World Soccer Talk’s Kyle Fansler speaks to Wrexham AFC CEO Humphrey Ker.
Most people may recognize Ker from his time on the FX documentary show Welcome to Wrexham. The show chronicles the takeover of Wrexham by American actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds. However, at the crossroads between his ownership and the club itself is Humphrey Ker.
In this discussion, Ker looks at what he actually does with Wrexham in that role. Additionally, she talks about the importance of the documentary itself in both growing the game in the US, as well as shedding light on soccer just outside of the EFL’s top four division. He talks about what he has learned, and what he has enjoyed the most during his time at the club, including some decisions regarding the documentary.
