ESPN is going all out for this weekend’s Wrexham FA Cup game.
The Red Dragons host Sheffield United of the Championship in the FA Cup Fourth Round at the Racecourse Ground this Sunday at 11:30am ET. The game is broadcast live on ESPN+.
The rising Welsh club have had memorable moments in the past, including a shock FA Cup win against Arsenal in 1991. Similarly, they will be looking to defeat a Sheffield United side currently sitting second in the English championship ( in an automatic promotion spot to the Premier League), 13 points above third.
Wrexham themselves are flying high, currently top of the National League table with promotion to League Two a top priority. It is therefore a venue that would guarantee a return to the Football League if they can finish strong.

ESPN is capitalizing on the Wrexham phenomenon and pushing the match. ESPN’s lead soccer commentator Jon Champion is calling the game. He is accompanied by one of the best football co-casters in the United States, Danny Higginbotham. ESPN’s Alexis Nunes stands pitchside for the game at Wrexham. Additionally, Kay Murray and Craig Burley will present the ESPN FC studio pregame show starting at 11 am on ESPN+.
