Former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. is recovering from surgery on his right eye to remove a cataract.
Spence stated on Instagram: “I had to have cataract surgery. He is defeated. Shit was covering my eye…why do you think they hit me with so many punches and hooks? “Still a great performance from the brother.”
The surgery obviously hampers Spence’s contractual rematch with Terence Crawford.
