Manchester City news: Erling Haaland has revealed that his dream is to score five goals with just five touches. The Man City striker was reacting to scrutiny that he doesn’t get very involved in his team’s game. The Norway international only had 11 touches on the ball in the first half of Man City’s Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.
However, the 22-year-old would eventually prove to be a deciding factor as Man City came from behind to secure all three points. Jude Bellingham had given Dortmund a one-goal lead in the 56th minute before John Stones restored equality in the 80th minute.
Erling Haaland would go on to score the winner to seal the three points for Man City at the expense of his former team.

Reacting to scrutiny over his involvement in the game, he said he knows and is doing what he has to do.
“People maybe talk about me not touching the ball enough and this and that, but I don’t care about this. I know what I am going to do, what I have to do and this is exactly what I did today in a tough match and this is exactly what I will continue to do,” Haaland told beIN SPORTS.
And he added: “My dream is to touch the ball five times and score five goals. That is my biggest dream.“
Haaland joined Man City from Borussia Dortmund in the 2022 summer transfer window. He has signed a five-year deal with the Premier League side.
Haaland has instantly hit the ground running at his new club.
Haaland has hit the ground running at Manchester City and has already scored 13 goals for the English team. He made his debut for Manchester City in their 3-1 loss to Liverpool in the FA Community Shield final. Haaland drew scoreless in that game.
Haaland then made his Premier League debut, scoring both of Man City’s goals in their 2–0 win over West Ham. His next goal for City came in a 3–3 draw with Newcastle United.
Haaland then scored his first hat-trick for Man City as they defended from behind to seal a 4–2 victory over Crystal Palace. After Crystal Palace scored two goals in the first half, Bernardo Silva saved one early in the second half. Haaland followed with three goals to give City all three points.
Haaland scored another hat-trick in Man City’s next match when they defeated Nottingham Forest 6–0. He also added his name to the scoreboard in Man City’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.
Haaland made his Champions League debut for Manchester City against Sevilla. And he scored twice as the Premier League side cruised to a 4-0 victory over the La Liga club.
