Erik ten Hag Provides Update on Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane & Lisandro Martinez

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Harry Maguire has recovered from illness as the Red Devils go into their first Premier League game after the winter break without Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.

Harry Maguire had missed Manchester United’s EFL Cup round of 16 clash with Burnley last week, his first competitive game after the winter break. The England international missed the match due to illness while the Red Devils were also without Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martínez.

Against Burnley, Erik ten Hag started Casemiro, a defensive midfielder, at center back alongside Victor Lindelof. The Red Devils face Nottingham Forest in their next Premier League game after the winter break and will come into the game without too many centre-back options to choose from.

But in good news for the Old Trafford team, Harry Maguire has recovered from the illness he had suffered. That means he’s likely to start for the Red Devils when they take on Nottingham Forest.
