Erik ten Hag is happy with Antony’s development at Manchester United.
The €100m winger was United’s star signing this summer and generated a lot of buzz.
Antony’s first goal against Arsenal immediately relieved the pressure on his shoulders and he was able to play more freely.
The Brazilian has scored three times in his first three games, becoming the first United player in history to do so.

Ten Hag was pleased with his performance against Everton but promised he could do even better.
He stated:
“The [Antony] it can go both ways, you have to work on that point, and we already did that in Amsterdam with him working on that.”
“He can cross with his right foot. He is a young player that we have to develop, but he has to develop himself.”
“We have to expect more from him. He needs challenges; that’s why he came to the Premier League. He gets it here.
“He wants to play the best players, the highest stressors against the best players. From there, he will step up.”
“That’s what you see: the first few weeks, he scored goals, he did good things, but I also saw a lot of room for improvement in his game.
“What made me happy about the goal he scored now was the moment of getting behind.”
“He has to do that more, use his space. He has a good dribble, but he needs more variation”.
“In the first game, he wasn’t always that great defending, but he was very disciplined. Good positioning, anticipation, quite an impact on the team”.
He asked Ten Hag if Antony can go out (as well as in): “He can go both ways, you have to work on that point + we already did it in Amsterdam with him, working on that. He can cross with his right foot. He’s a young player that we have to develop, but he has to develop himself.” #MUFC
