Erik ten Hag was very pleased with his team’s performance in the 1-0 win over Omonia FC.
Manchester United had to wait until the 93rd minute to score the winning goal.
The visitors showed determination and were extremely difficult to break.
Ten Hag’s substitutes were once again the deciding factor.
Jadon Sancho and Scott McTominay combined brilliantly for the goal.
The United manager said after the game:
“We did it [keep faith in the process]and that’s why we mark.
“Be patient, keep getting into the right positions, keep creating chances, don’t let the opponent get out, so I think they did well.”
“I hope we saved the goals for next week.”
“The performance was well done, the only thing we lacked were goals.”
“We created a lot of chances, and that’s not easy against an opponent who is compact.”
“We have to score goals!”

“I am very happy for Scott [McTominay]. He played very well. Now, Casemiro came in, so it reduces his playing time, but he came in and he did fantastic”.
United now face a difficult week ahead, with three games in eight days against Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea.
Ten Hag hopes to see a positive performance from his team in what could be a defining week for the Red Devils’ season.
He will have many decisions to make regarding team selection and it will be fascinating to see how he manages to rotate players.
