Erik ten Hag happy with Manchester United’s comeback in 2-1 win over Everton – Man United News And Transfer News

Erik ten Hag was pleased with his side’s ability to bounce back in their 2-1 win over Everton.

Manchester United came from a goal down to claim all three points in a dominant display.

In his post-match interview, the Dutch manager stated:

“The reaction of the team was good. That was one of our objectives: to deal with setbacks.”

He was asked about Anthony Martial’s injury, to which he mentioned something about his back.

“It was not a recurrence of a previous injury; it was something different. It was a problem with her back.

“But it was important, a help for Antonio. So happy with it.”

Everton were building up pressure in the final ten minutes by lobbing long balls into United’s penalty area. Ten Hag decided to bring in Raphael Varane to help with the air battles.

The move proved to be a coup as Varane made four crucial clearances.

“Four difficult situations, and you see how important Rapha is there with his organization and his ability to head.”

“It should have been a [Rashford] goal, and I think it’s game over.”

“Seven games undefeated, difficult to score against Everton, and we scored two, maybe three (laughs).”

United fans are hoping their team will continue this momentum in the next game.
