Eric Bailly is still injured with a recurring issue and has an unknown return date – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United loanee Eric Bailly has so far had a promising loan spell with French club Marseille interrupted by injury setbacks.

For the second time in Marseille’s campaign, Bailly retired injured in the classic clash against Paris St Germain.

He initially came out in the Champions League when his team met Eintracht Frankfurt, but it was nothing serious as he only missed one game before returning to the bench and becoming available for the national team.

What will worry fans is that no timetable has been set for the Ivorian’s return from injury, according to SportWitness.

As usual, every time a player is injured, fans are informed of a likely return date; in Bailly’s case, this has not been the case.

The 28-year-old is absent from the squad selected to play tonight against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.

French news outlet L’Equipe has simply listed the reason for United’s loan absence as “still injured”.

This is unlikely to comfort United supporters, as well as Marseille fans who have been impressed with Bailly’s displays for the French giants so far.

The injured backhand is suspected to be to the right thigh.

This is something Bailly has struggled with, since his days at Old Trafford.

If the problem persists, this could jeopardize Bailly’s chances of permanently signing on with his temporary employers.

The transfer included a compulsory purchase option but only under certain conditions, and one of them was that he would have to achieve a minimum number of games during the season. That already seems to be in danger.
