EPL commentators on NBC: Jan. 21 to 23

Is there a title race that really includes both Manchester clubs? Based on the shape, maybe and maybe not. Yes, Manchester United are buzzing and City are still there at the top. However, no team has been able to stop Arsenal. While United take credit for a six-game unbeaten run that returned the club to relevance, Arsenal are the team in top form.

However, Arsenal’s only loss of the season came against United. Those two teams meet again on Sunday. Arsenal went into Old Trafford but lost to a pair of goals from Marcus Rashford and a debut goal from Antony. It’s the game of the weekend and it could be an integral moment of the season.

The opening game of the weekend is important, but for a different reason. Liverpool welcome a shaky Chelsea with the clubs sitting ninth and tenth respectively. A defeat reduces the chances of reaching the Champions League for both sides. Each club has three points from their last three games, 10 points behind fourth-place Newcastle.

Other key games on the schedule include a relegation fight between West Ham and Everton. Both managers are on the bench and could meet their fate with a poor result on Saturday.

A London derby between Fulham and Tottenham has two teams going in opposite directions. Two points separate the clubs for fifth and sixth place in the league.

NBC coverage

To mark a great weekend in the Premier League, NBC is heading to Orlando for one of its Fan Fests. Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe and Tim Howard are making the trip to Universal Studios in the Sunshine State. Joining them are former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill, the Premier League’s all-time top scorer Alan Shearer, and several other athletes from American football, the Olympics and golf.

The team has Premier League Mornings at 7am ET on the weekend, as well as Premier League Live and Goal Zone from Saturday to Monday.

GOAL RUSH is in action Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. The interactive show focuses on one game, but provides frequent updates on the grounds. Goal Rush is only available on Peacock.

There are also a couple of games in 4K this weekend. They are, in fact, the last two games on the record. Make sure you can watch the Premier League in 4K for higher resolution.
