England international ruled out for the season explaining World Cup squad absence

Leicester City defender James Justin has been ruled out for the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, ruining his World Cup hopes for England.

Justin has never been a guarantee for England, but with back injuries, there was a chance he could be called up. Ben Chilwell and Reece James were recently dropped, and with Justin able to play on both the left and right sides of defense, many fans were telling him that he had an outside opportunity to make the team.

However, Justin has now been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, according to the BBC.

Justin recently spent 11 months out after suffering a serious knee injury, so being ruled out for an extended period once again is devastating news for the defender.

Justin won his first cap earlier this year and would no doubt have expected the call from Gareth Southgate were it not for his recent injury.

With James and Chilwell ruled out and Kyle Walker struggling for form, Southgate will be praying his full-backs come out of the weekend’s fixtures unscathed.
