Unai Emery was confirmed yesterday as Aston Villa manager to replace Steven Gerrard at the helm of Villa Park and the Spanish coach was on the verge of tears during today’s press conference as he bid farewell to the LaLiga club.
Emery will return to the Premier League on November 1 after three years having left Arsenal in 2019.
The Spanish manager has had great success with Villarreal ever since, guiding the La Liga club to a Europa League title and helping them reach the Champions League semi-finals last season.
