EMC 10: Two more title fights added, Engizek defends belt

EMC 10 was promised to be the biggest event in the European promotion’s history and now that the full line-up has been revealed, it’s clear why that assurance was given.

The historic show takes place on Saturday, September 24 from Castello Düsseldorf in Germany and the stacked card, the best the organization has ever delivered, features three title fights. It was previously announced that the longest reigning champion in the Elite MMA Championship (EMC), Fabiano Silva (32-14-1), would defend his featherweight belt against the oncoming wrecking ball, Bekhruz Zukhurov (16-5). , but two more intriguing fights with similarly high stakes have now also been confirmed.

In the main event, one of the best fighters in Europe, Kerim Engizek, will look to defend his middleweight championship for the first time against Brazilian Wallison Henrique. EMC’s inaugural lightweight title will also be on the line when the powerful Ahmed Abdulkadirov takes on the aggressive Alexandre Ribeiro.

Engizek (17-4) is an extremely popular fighter in Germany and claimed EMC’s first middleweight belt in April when he defeated Gabriel Barreiro in the first round via TKO. That extended his winning streak to ten and improved his completion rate to an impressive 83%. The crowd in Düsseldorf will be firmly behind the UFD Gym product and look forward to witnessing another memorable stoppage next weekend.

Kerim Engizek

Henrique (14-11, 1NC) has won three of his last four bouts, the most recent being a submission victory in just under two minutes against Bruno Sudre. He has only gone the distance once in his twenty-six fight career and has twelve first-round finishes to his name. The Brazilian is set to compete outside of South America for the first time against his toughest opponent to date. Will Engizek get another win or will Henrique silence the crowd and take home the belt?

Abdulkadirov (8-1) made his EMC debut last December and became the first person to defeat Mauro Paixão by knockout. His stopping power was on full display again a few months later when he dispatched Hyram Rodriguez before the end of the first round. The 27-year-old has finished 7 of his 8 wins by TKO/KO and has won his last five bouts. This championship bout is the biggest fight of Abdulkadirov’s career thus far and he hopes to prove his devastating punch once again to claim the inaugural EMC lightweight title.

Ribeiro (19-9-1, 1NC) has fought all over the world and has an up-tempo every time he competes. ‘Lek Lek’ has featured for notable promotions such as Shooto Brazil and the AFL during his thirty-fight career, but intends to deliver his best performance yet in his EMC debut. He has finished his last four wins before the end of the second round and wants to take Abdulkadirov’s momentum for himself, earning a championship belt in the process.

Elsewhere on the card, Europe’s top boxer Lom-Ali Eskiev (19-5, 1NC) takes on Welisson Paiva (7-2-1) in a lightweight bout against Islam Dulatov (7-1). , looks to maintain his 100% stoppage rate when he meets undefeated Alexander Mikael (9-0) at welterweight. Former world junior boxing champion Deniz Ilbay (2-0) is seeking his third professional win since transitioning to MMA less than a year ago against Anton Franjic (3-4) in a featherweight bout and the Bellator veteran Walter Gahadza (18-7) collides with Robert Oganesyan (8-9, 1NC) in a welterweight bout that likely won’t go the distance.
