Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz punched a Brazilian reporter after he disrespected his girlfriend and Villa teammate Alisha Lehmann.
The midfielder has been dating the Aston Villa Women star since November after they confirmed their relationship with a photo of them together on Instagram.
The incident occurred when Milton Neves, a 71-year-old Brazilian television presenter, shared a video of Lehmann celebrating a goal by jumping and turning his back on him.
The video clip was accompanied by the message: “Without going back to the video, what number did you have on your shirt?”
The video in question can be viewed below.

This led Luiz to defend his girlfriend and denounce the disrespectful act. The 24-year-old date tweeted the post and wrote:
“You are older, (with) years in football and you publish a video that does not respect women’s football or the player who, in this case, is my girlfriend.
“You never learned what respect is! Dammit!”
The tweet Luiz replied to has since been deleted.
You are older, years in football and you publish a video that does not respect women’s football and neither does the player herself who is my girlfriend. https://t.co/2qfvck6Aij
