Dortmund chief insists there’ll be no ‘gifts’ to Liverpool regarding Bellingham pursuit despite the Reds being his ‘preferred club’

Borussia Dortmund managing director Carsten Cramer has told Liverpool they should not expect any “gifts” from the Bundesliga side regarding their search for Jude Bellingham.

Although the senior official admitted that the Reds are his ‘preferred club’ in the Premier League and referred to the strong relationship he has with Jurgen Klopp, he insisted that when it comes to the talented midfielder’s future, he will do nothing. favors to the Anfield team.

“We certainly have great sympathy for Liverpool. We still have a good relationship with Jurgen and many others at Liverpool, so for me, it’s also my favorite club in the EPL. But don’t expect us to give Liverpool gifts,” Cramer told Vietnam News (via The Telegraph).

Strengthening our midfield is the club’s priority over the next two transfer windows and our German tactician has reportedly made the England international his number one target.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has admitted he will ask the 19-year-old if he wants to ‘stay or go’ once he returns from the World Cup in Qatar, where he impressed with the Three Lions.

Despite all the interest surrounding the former Birmingham City player, Cramer has not ruled out enlisting the services of one of Europe’s most exciting talents.

“Maybe there is a success between Jude Bellingham and (England’s) success at the World Cup,” he added.

“He (Jude) has a contract. I am a sales person regarding trading business but not regarding player business.

“We are happy to have him on board 100 percent and the more jude jude for us, the better it will be.”

The teenager is under contract with the German giants until 2025, meaning the ball is firmly in his court.

He is already showing his quality week after week in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League and it seems to be only a matter of time before he goes elsewhere.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also interested in his signing and it has become abundantly clear that the Reds will be done no favours.
