Domenico Marocchino admits Juventus is always a target for authorities

Former Juventus player Domenico Marocchino commented on the bianconeri’s recent punishment and admitted that the black and white are always a target.

Juve remain one of the best teams in Europe and arguably the biggest in Italy, making them easy targets for the authorities.

Juve have been using capital gains in some of their transfers in recent seasons and have now been penalized with a 15-point deduction.

The clubs they did business with have not been sanctioned, which has drawn attention and Marocchino seems to understand.

He says via Tuttojuve:

“This story of added value has once again shown how difficult it is to manage the football system, it is true that the same teams are always hit, but this should not be an excuse for making mistakes. The controls have probably been underestimated and exaggerated a bit, but I have the feeling that Juventus are always more in the spotlight than the others.”

Juve FC says

Juve are one of the biggest clubs in the world and their conduct has been constantly closely scrutinized, what their board of directors should know.

As the only publicly traded side in the case, there is a higher expectation on the whites and blacks.

However, the club maintains that it has done nothing wrong and we expect the decision to be overturned on appeal.
