A soon-to-be-published book makes a startling claim about Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United’s favorite son, CR7, is reportedly calling his return to Old Trafford a “disaster”.

From controversy to controversy, the Portuguese attacker’s return home has gone far from the fairy tale that both he and the United fans expected.
When Ronaldo rejoined the Red Devils in August 2021, the excitement was palpable. He impressed, getting in between the goals, even scoring a brace in his first game back. Many attribute United’s qualification for Europe to Ronaldo despite the team having a dismal season by Manchester’s lofty standards.
The book “Messi vs Ronaldo: One Rivalry, Two GOATs, and the Era That Remade the World’s Game” states that CR7 was very disappointed with Manchester United on numerous fronts (via The Sun).
Sources claim that Ronaldo was despondent about the state of the old Carrington training ground.
He was equally dismayed by United’s fall from grace off the pitch. Ronaldo is said to have seen a visible lack of progress since his departure from Manchester United in 2009.
Another complaint the Portuguese phenom reportedly shared in the book revolved around fitness. Although Ronaldo maintained a strict fitness regimen, he did not feel that his teammates had the same level of commitment.
The book offers a detailed description of the best rivals and players in football.
