The full-back was limited at times from advancing as he usually does, but both he and the coach will be pleased with his display nonetheless.
His performance against Newcastle highlights why there is fear among the fans regarding Dalot’s contract situation.
His term expires at the end of the season, although the club has the option to extend it for a further year. It is imperative that he is tied to a longer-term contract to protect himself from any enticing gaze.
