Di Marzio gives his predictions on Del Piero and Marotta rumored Juventus returns

With the club in the midst of a storm, the outlook at Juventus remains bleak. The board of directors headed by Andrea Agnelli resigned on Monday and John Elkann quickly appointed Gianluca Ferrero as the club’s new president.

However, observers expect additional shakeups in the coming days, with new profiles entering the fold, which could feature some familiar faces.

On the heels of Monday’s shock announcement, Alessandro Del Piero’s name was immediately linked with a return to a management role.

The former striker is arguably the biggest icon in the club’s glorious history, and he himself fueled speculation by making it clear that he would consider the proposal if the club called.

Some even suggested the return of Giuseppe Marotta, who was the architect behind the club’s last winning dynasty. He left his position in 2018 and currently serves as Inter’s chief executive.

Famed Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio offered his take on the Del Piero and Marotta return rumors. He speculates that the former player’s return is more likely than seeing the former CEO in Turin again.

“It is true that Marotta did not agree with the signing of Ronaldo, but it was not the only factor that determined his departure. His relationship with the club had already been broken before, ”Di Marzio revealed during an appearance on Sky Sport via JuventusNews24.

“As for Del Piero, I imagine that sooner or later he will have a future at Juventus.”
