It has been suggested that Juventus attacker Angel di Maria will leave the club in January despite only joining them as a free agent in the summer.
The Bianconeri wanted him to sign for two years, but the attacker insisted on signing for just one season as he prepares to represent Argentina at the World Cup.
That trophy isn’t in his cabinet right now, but he could win it today, which will satisfy him.
Juve have been impressed by his performances on their books, but some recent reports have suggested he will leave in January, especially if he wins the World Cup.
However, a Calciomercato report insists that the attacker is not thinking of an early departure from Juve and will only decide on his future at the end of this season.
Juve FC says
Di María has been a key player for us, and we expect the Argentine to continue to deliver high-level performances when he returns.
He has been injury prone for much of this season. However, he is still a player we can trust to deliver when fully fit.
It will be nice to have him in our group for one more season, but his performance in the second half of the season will determine that.
