Angel di Maria did not finish Juventus’ weekend game against Fiorentina as he was substituted by Max Allegri for precautionary reasons.
The Argentine had just returned from injury and the Bianconeri coach did not want him to play too many minutes after only a few training sessions.
However, he may not have fully recovered and could be rested for Juventus’ next game against PSG.
That said, the attacker does not want to miss the reunion with his former club, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
He states that ideally he should miss the match, but he wants to be on the pitch to face the Ligue 1 team.
Di Maria has just left PSG as a free agent to join Juve, and he wants to show them why he shouldn’t have been allowed to leave.
Juve FC says
Di Maria understandably wants to play in that game, however there is little point in involving him if he is not fully fit.
Max Allegri is experienced enough to know how dangerous it is for him to further aggravate the problem, and the Bianconeri coach will rest him if he is unconvinced of his fitness.
