Angel di Maria has given Juventus a physical boost after training with the rest of the group yesterday.
The Argentine missed the Bianconeri’s opener of 2023 against Cremonese due to injury after an extended World Cup hiatus.
The fans weren’t happy and Max Allegri insisted it wasn’t a significant problem and it looks like the attacker is now set to return ahead of schedule.
A Football Italia report reveals that yesterday he trained with the rest of the group as he progresses in his recovery.
This means he could be fit for Juve’s next second leg, but it doesn’t guarantee his participation.
Juve FC says
Di María is one of our accomplished players and we can back the Argentine to do a good job on the pitch when fully fit.
This is one of the reasons why Allegri will be eager to have him back in the group. Di María is an influential player, but it looks like this will be his only season at the club if his physical problems continue to plague him.
Hopefully he’ll be back soon, but the most important thing is that other players can perform well and continue helping us get the results we need.
