While the Englishman will no doubt receive applause for his man-of-the-match performance, United fans will revel in what he did after the game.
In typical Henderson fashion, he toured the City Ground absorbing the admiration of the Forest fans and had a nod or two for the Liverpool fans who had travelled.
Henderson, in a cheeky comment towards the Liverpool fans, raised his fist in the air in glee as he smiled at the furious Liverpool fans.
He pointed at them and gave them the middle finger twice as he sneered and smiled in delight at their misfortune.

The academy graduate will no doubt have pleased some United fans who will have no empathy for the brutal decline of their bitter rivals.
If Henderson continues to act as he did today, it will force Erik ten Hag to take a look at him when his loan spell with Forest is up.
With David de Gea’s future in doubt, there is a chance he could claim on the side.
