David Moyes rejects January striker signing for West Ham

David Moyes turned down the opportunity to sign a striker during the January transfer window, according to Claret & Hugh.

The Scotsman was informed that money would be available to sign another striker in an effort to fix the team’s goal-scoring problems, but he turned down the offer.

Instead, he prefers to stick with the current duo of Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio.

The Claret & Hugh report says: “The pundits have made it clear that the manager is getting thinner after the four defeats with one describing last night’s performance as very poor.

“An early dismissal certainly cannot be ruled out according to a well placed Claret and Hugh source who claimed that was the case and at the same time desperately wanted him to turn things around.”
