David de Gea cheekily responds to Real Madrid’s interest in Alejandro Garnacho – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has given his verdict on Alejandro Garnacho’s possible departure from Old Trafford.

De Gea’s response comes after a report from Spain recently detailed that Los Merengues have earmarked the purchase of Garnacho.

The report indicated that the La Liga champions see Garnacho as an alternative that aligns with their transfer strategy of signing young players destined for the biggest stage.

After yesterday’s defeat in a friendly, in which Real Betis beat the Red Devils by a single goal, De Gea denied that the club let Garnacho go.

De Gea played the first 45 minutes of the game, while Garnacho participated for the full 90 minutes.

A Spanish reporter asked Garnacho about reports linking him to a move to the iconic Santiago Bernabéu.

The 19-year-old cleverly refused to answer the controversial question.

However, De Gea intervened and responded on his behalf. He simply said, “We won’t let him go.”

The United goalkeeper undoubtedly conveyed the sentiment of almost all the fans, who will not look favorably on the possibility of losing Garnacho to Florentino Pérez.

It later emerged that Madrid actually have no intention of making a move for Garnacho and are betting on the talented youngster to sign a new contract that will keep him at the Theater of Dreams for a considerable future.

On top of this, Madrid will also give United a clear chance with Cody Gakpo and Rafael Leao in January, with the Spanish giants firmly focused on sealing a deal for Brazilian sensation Endrick.

United must quickly resolve Garnacho’s contract situation and end the speculation before it becomes substantial.
