David Beckham is open to talks with potential Manchester United bidders, according to a Financial Times report.
The Glazer family, which owns Manchester United, has put the club up for sale. They issued a statement earlier this week, confirming that the club could be sold. In the statement, it said: “Manchester United plc announces today that the Company’s Board of Directors is beginning a process to explore strategic alternatives for the club.”
They have appointed the Raine Group, which oversaw the sale of another Premier League club, Chelsea, earlier this year, as their exclusive financial adviser.
Several people and companies have already been linked with a possible bid for Manchester United, and that includes British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

According to the Financial Times, Beckham, who is a Manchester United legend, is open to discussions with potential bidders for the Old Trafford outfit.
It is said that prospective buyers from Man Utd could list Beckham as part of a consortium to increase his chances of becoming the chosen bidder.
A person close to Beckham has revealed to the Financial Times that several investors have previously approached the Manchester United legend to see if he would back a potential bid to take over the Premier League side.

Daily Star has claimed that American tech giants Apple are interested in buying Manchester United. Meanwhile, the Manchester Evening News claims that Zara founder and Spanish billionaire businessman Amancio Ortega has also signed on to buy Manchester United.
Reports have also suggested that tech giants Amazon or Facebook might also be interested in buying the iconic Premier League club.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph claims that British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning a bid for Manchester United. He has also previously considered a move to buy the Old Trafford team.

Beckham can’t afford to finance a bid on his own, but he could team up with other investors to launch a move to buy the club he once played for.
Beckham, who rose through the youth ranks at Man Utd, played for the Red Devils senior team between 1992 and 2003. During his time playing for the Old Trafford side, Beckham made 394 appearances for Man Utd and scored 85 goals.
