Darren Fletcher’s twin sons are part of an international fight between England and Scotland.

As The Sun reports, neighboring countries are trying to persuade the twins, Jack and Tyler, to represent them internationally.

The 15-year-olds have been selected for Scotland after impressing at club Manchester City.

However, England is believed to have asked the pair to train with them in a bid to entice the twins to play in their homeland north of the border.

Jack and Tyler follow in their father’s footsteps by playing in the middle of the park, but have to make a decision about whether to do the same for Scotland.

Dad, Darren, proudly represented the Tartan Army 80 times during his career, captaining the team 34 times.

Fletcher remains third on the all-time list of Scotland players, behind Sir Kenny Dalglish and former United goalkeeper Jim Leighton.

Scotland appear to be in the driving seat, having picked the duo at under-16 level, but, as with all nations, can switch allegiances to the point of being fully capped internationally.

With the twins likely to follow their father onto the international stage, could they jump across Manchester at club level and represent United, where Fletcher is currently director of football?

Fletcher joined United as a teenager and spent twenty years at the club, amassing almost 350 games.

The midfielder enjoyed a wonderful career, winning five Premier League titles and a Champions League medal in 2008.
