Nottingham Forest are pushing to complete the signing of Palmeiras midfielder Danilo for around €20m, despite Monaco also looking to be in the running.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive Daily Briefing column, with the reporter giving the latest on Danilo’s future as Forest hopes to win the race for his signature this January.
Romano previously revealed that Arsenal had internal discussions over the possibility of signing Danilo in the summer, with the 21-year-old Brazilian certainly looking like a standout prospect who could do well in a more competitive league.
For now though, it seems that a move to Nottingham Forest is the most likely outcome, so it will be interesting to see how the youngster fares in the Premier League if the deal goes through.

If Danilo impresses, one imagines that Arsenal and other big six clubs will surely look to him in the future.
“Nottingham Forest is pushing to close Danilo’s deal with Palmeiras. Talks also continued overnight to reach a full agreement: Nottingham did everything they could,” Romano said.
“The final fee that is being discussed is close to 20 million euros. Monaco is also in the running, but the NFFC is working hard to seal it. Arsenal discussed it internally in the summer, but now there are no talks.”
