Danilo and Miretti risk suspensions for Benfica-Juventus clashJuvefc.com

Today, Juventus will face Maccabi Haifa in a Champions League match away from home. The Bianconeri already defeated their rivals last week and need another three points to maintain their slim hopes of reaching the round of 16.

While the Bianconeri are hoping for a win over the European minnows on Tuesday, their next task in the competition will be considerably more complicated.

On October 25, the Italians will travel to Lisbon for a decisive battle against Benfica. Therefore, it would be paramount for Max Allegri to have his best players available for what could be a decisive match.

But according to TuttoJuve, Fabio Miretti and Danilo are at risk of receiving a one-match ban for the big battle against the Portuguese.

The young Italian midfielder and the experienced Brazilian defender received yellow cards during the opening match against Paris Saint Germain in the French capital. He then received bookings in the home game against Benfica.

Therefore, if Danilo and Miretti get their third booking of the season during the away game against Maccabi, they will be suspended for the trip to Lisbon.

Juve FC says

Danilo has been one of Max Allegri’s most reliable defenders this season. However, his previous cautions could lead the coach to rest him for today’s match.

As for Miretti, he remains an important member of the squad, although his playing time was reduced following the returns of Adrien Rabiot and Manuel Locatelli.
